Did You Know?

Everyone must understand and what mental illness is
Stigma erodes confidence that mental disorders are real, treatable health conditions. We have allowed stigma and a now unwarranted sense of hopelessness to erect attitudinal, structural and financial barriers to effective treatment and recovery. It is time to take these barriers down.

North Dakota Psychiatry Overview

Not too long ago, many people were still relatively reluctant to consulting a North Dakota psychiatrist. In recent years, however, more and more people have accepted that an ill mind is not any different from an ill body. While the body can regenerate itself during a light cold or even a fever, there are certain illnesses that it can’t combat on its own. The same applies to the mind, our emotions and feelings. Today, psychiatric treatment involves a licensed physician, specifically trained to treat mental disorders and authorized to prescribe drugs, combined with psychological treatment.
